Chronilces has its London debut at the SOHO theatre, selling out the last few shows. (London is awesome!)

September 8-13

Chronicles is performed in the Bosco theatre in Dublin as part of the Dublin Fringe.

August 15-17

the Ballad of Backbone Joe is shown at the Darwin Festival.

July

the SR do another residency at the Wesley Anne

June 28-July 5

the premiere of the Ballad of Backbone Joe begins at fed square as part of the puppet and visual theatre festival.

June 10-15

Chronicles is performed at the Ruhrfestspiele in Recklinghausen, Germany. A companion comic book is created by a local artist.

May 15

Back to SA! Chronicles of a Sleepless Moon is performed for delegates at the Assitej festival

May 6

the Suitcase Royale take over the arts centre to host Full Tilt the talk show.

April

Every Saturday night at the Wesley Anne in Northcote the Suitcase Royale play their junkyard tunes.

March 19-April 12

the Ghosts of Ricketts Hill hits the comedy fest winning the Golden Gibbo Award.

March 14-16

the SR head back to SA to perform on the fringe road show in Port Augusta!

Chronicles of a Sleepless Moon is showcased as part of APAM at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

February 19 - 25

Ricketts Hill at the Bosco in the Garden of Unearthly Delights at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

January 31 - February 3

the Ghosts of Ricketts Hill is hosted by the Imperial Panda Festival. the shows sell out and our love affair with sydney continues...

New Years Eve - Jan 01

the Ghosts of Ricketts hill is performed at the Falls festival in Lorne. Early in the morning of the 1st (one royale birthday) 15minute dance parties storm into existence with the help of the Village crew!

2007

November 8 - 10

Chronicles is shown at the Andy Warhol memorial theatre in Pittsburgh, PA. the show is later voted #4 in the top 20 events of Pittsburgh in 2007.

October

'the Ballad of Backbone Joe' is born and a sneak preview is shown at Royale HQ in Northcote.

August 2 - 26

Chronicles of a Sleepless Moon makes its way to the Edinburgh Festival, performed in the beautiful Bosco Theatre at the Spiegel Garden! Great reviews and even better audiences roll in by the second week. At the same time the Suitcase are playing regular gigs as a three piece, burnin the candle in three places and the soles of their shoes.

April 5 - 29

Chronicles of a Sleepless Moon has its comedy festival debut, acclaimed by such venerable comedians as Daniel Kitson, Josie Long and David O'Dougherty. the SR also performed to a confused then ultimately elated audience at the HIFI bar. Oh and two more Ghosts of Ricketts Hill shows at the Bosco Theatre!

March 15 - 31

Chronicles of a Sleepless Moon has its third season, in the Bosco Theatre as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Simultaneously the Ghosts of Ricketts Hill is premiered at the Black Lung Theatre. (All sleeping was postponed until May)

2006

Dec 30 - Jan 1

From out of a marsh, under a tree in the left corner of the left field comes the first ever showings of the Ghosts of Ricketts Hill at the Falls Festival in Marion Bay, Tas.

Felix Listens to the World is performed at the Awesome Festival in Perth

October 4 – 15

Felix Listens to the World is performed at Lan Franchis Dicoteque in Sydney

September 9

the Suitcase Royale Play at the Wesley Anne in a rare musical performance.

August 3 - 12

Chronicles is performed at the Lan Franchis Discoteque in Sydney.

July 26 – 28

A mini season of Chronicles is performed at Deakin University in Melbourne.

June 2 – 18

Chronicles of a Sleepless Moon is performed at the Black Lung Theatre. The season is extended an extra week after a sell out second week.

March 16 – 26

Chronicles of a Sleepless Moon has its premier season at the Docklands Shed 14 as part of the Next Wave and the Cultural Festival connected with the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.

Feb 21 – 26
Felix Listens to the World is performed at the beautiful Bosco Theatre in the Garden of Unearthly Delights as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

2005

Dec 30 – Jan 1
The Suitcase Royale perform an abridged and insane version of Chronicles of a Sleepless Moon as part of the Village at the Falls Festival, Lorne, Victoria.

October 20 - 22

Felix Listens to the World is presented at the Fairfax Studio in the Arts Centre as part of the Melbourne International Arts Festival.

October 6
The installation/ performance Cardboard City is shown for the opening night party for the Melbourne Arts Festival.

May 24 - Sept 2
Felix tours the Canadian Fringe circuit performing the show in Four festivals, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Edmonton. The tour generates five five star reviews for the show.

April 1 & 2
Felix is performed as part of 'the Village' festival in Horsham's May Park. Performed in the Indian Tent, the performances were both hot and exciting.

April 1
The Debut of 'the Mountaineers' roving performance invaded the Horsham shopping plaza.

March 16 - 26
the Felix Listens to the World independant season was the first time Felix stood alone as a show. Performed in Felix's home, Gertrudes in Fitzroy the seaoson was a blast and very well recieved.

March 9, 10 & 11
the Suitcase Royale perform Felix Listens to the World as part of the Malthouse Ensemble x 3 season. The shows were a huge success, selling out the Beckett Theatre each night.

2004

Oct 7 - 23
the Suitcase Royale perform in the role of the cloakroom attendants at MOMO's Blue Rinse Club as part of the Melbourne International Arts Festival. One of those frenzied nights we performed an abriged version of Felix in our dressing room for the Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa.

Sep 22 - Oct 9
'Felix Listens to the World' shown as part of the double Bill 'Lamplight Verses the Moon' at Gertrudes in the Melbourne Fringe Festival. 'Felix' is awarded the Performance Award by the Fringe.

Aug 15
'Felix Listens to the World' is shown as part of the Playbox 3D fest Showcase at the Merlyn Theatre and wins a Playbox Development Award.


the Suitcase Royale create theatre out of the junk left on the curb-side, out of the refuge of the city dump and the carelessly placed materials of your local construction site. This is Junkyard Theatre. We will tell you a story as you sit in a dusty armchair in the yellow lamplight.
